Kristen Stewart’s problem with social media
Unlike many stars in Hollywood, dont expect to find Kristen Stewart on social media anytime soon.
When you speak to someone on the phone, that is a decipherable, understandable exchange. But with text and social media, its essentially a dialogue with yourself and your interpretation of a shadow. Its not invalid; its a new language, explained the 26-year-old actress to V Magazine for their V106 Free Spirit Issue.

Stewart, who is the magazines cover girl, was revealing her interpretation of her new films portrayal of technology. She stars in Personal Shopper, which tells the story of a young American in Paris who works for a celebrity, but also has the ability to speak with her deceased twin brother, prompting her to receive messages from a spooky source.
But in real life, Stewart, who found fame as Bella in the teen fantasy film series Twilight, doesnt seem too interested in communicating with strangers specifically on social media.[But] you also become addicted to that hit by yourself and with yourself, every seven minutes or so, and you end up wasting so much time just validating something very superficial in yourself, she told the publication. It has definitely changed us.
These days, Stewart prefers to continue focusing on how to tackle of demands of Hollywood.
I know that it seems like just a couple weeks at a time or whatever, but between Cannes and the New York Film Festival, it seems like I need to force myself to be like, OK no, stop being external. Enough of the output, she added. Sometimes, you need to this sounds so cliché meditate on replenishing the well.
Stewart’s rumored girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell, has a different approach to social media.
“I think [social media] has played a huge role in giving models a little power to show exactly what they want to show,” explained the 26-year-old model to Fox News. “Just giving fans a little insight into how your day is going.”
“I love to show fans what I’m excited about and to get them excited,” she added. “It’s also such a fun tool to have in your career, especially as a model. You can really show people what you’re doing day-to-day. It’s just honestly the perfect way to show them little bits of your work life and personal life.”
